Rachel Duffy was announced as Rose of Tralee 2022 live at Munster Technological University’s Kerry Sports Academy last night, becoming the first Rose representing Westmeath to take the title.
Last year, Rachel graduated from NUI Galway with a BA in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies and Spanish. She is looking forward to returning to university to complete her Master’s degree to be a Spanish and English teacher. She currently works in P. Egan’s Traditional Irish Bar in Moate.
She is a proud member of Cill Óige Ladies, a new LGFA club founded in her parish in 2021 and is a huge advocate for girls playing sports. Her motto in life is ‘Don’t give up’.
On behalf of the Tralee Chamber Alliance, we would like to congratulation Rachel and wish her the very best for the next 12 months as the Rose of Tralee.
