The Government has today announced an extension of the Night Time Economy Support Scheme (NTESS) 2022 with an additional €1.4 million in funding, bringing total funding to €4 million.
Please note: this scheme had previously been closed early due to funding being exhausted. It will now re-open at 12 noon today with applications accepted until 12 noon Wednesday, 10th August 2022 or until the fund is exhausted, whichever occurs first.
Funding is available to trial new events, activities and initiatives at night, with a particular focus on off-peak times. The scheme aims to assist in rebuilding an active, thriving, and sustainable Evening and Night-Time Economy by allowing venue owners, including hotels, to test different offerings. A maximum allowable grant of €10,000 will be funded per series of events.
Events can include (but are not limited to): live music, comedy nights, dance, literature or poetry nights, theatrical productions or plays, craft events and art/photographic exhibitions.
Please note that events funded under this scheme must be open to the community at large and/or visitors to the area, whether ticketed or free of charge.
Applications can be made for the scheme through the dedicated application website from 12 noon today. Anyone who has submitted a full application and received an acknowledgement need not reapply.
