Corcoran’s Furniture & Carpets celebrated their 25th Anniversary in their Corcoran’s Killarney store on Friday 26th July. This is a landmark year for the company as they celebrate a quarter of a century in business across all five of their stores which are located in Cahersiveen, Killarney, Tralee Manor West, Tralee Outlet, and Newcastle West.
To kick off the festivities at the Corcoran’s Killarney store, we had speeches from Kieran Corcoran, Founder/Owner; Shane O’Callaghan, Financial Controller; Elaine Buckley, Community Engagement Manager, Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland (AADI); Colette O’ Connor, CEO, Tralee Chamber Alliance; and Johnny McGuire, Killarney Chamber Co-President.
Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland is Corcoran’s chosen Charity of the Year, and Corcoran’s were privileged to have Áine and Darragh Caddigan and their amazing AADI wonder Dog Buzz join in the festivities on the day. All three took part in Corcoran’s recent charity fundraising walk on 8th June on behalf of AADI which raised €12,387.
The opening ceremony for Corcoran’s 25th Anniversary was followed by an afternoon of canapes, desserts, and beverages, celebrated by both the public and the Corcoran’s team and their families. Radio Kerry were also on site for the day and ‘The Afternoon Show with Brendan Fuller’ was broadcast live from the Corcoran’s Killarney car park.
Brendan Fuller carried out a series of interviews throughout his show featuring Kieran Corcoran, Helen Murphy (Daily Diva-Diary), Shane O’ Callaghan, Elaine Buckley (AADI), and PJ Sugrue – Corcoran’s longest-term employee from Cahersiveen.
All attendees received a Corcoran’s gift bag, packed full of goodies and Corcoran’s gift vouchers, and one of the highlights of the day was the zumba dancing segment lead by Michelle Salute, from Zumba fitness. The kids face painting by Corcoran’s own Marzena Jegouzu also went down a treat, for a day that was filled with celebration, laughter, and fun.
In celebration of Corcorans’s 25th Anniversary, Radio Kerry gave away €2,500 worth of Corcoran’s vouchers and the overall winner of the ‘Win A Home Makeover’ to the value of €1,500 was announced live on the show. The thrilled winner was Marie Sheehan from Kilcummin, Killarney.
Speaking at the event Kieran Corcoran said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 25th Anniversary in the Corcoran’s Killarney store. It is hard to believe that we opened our first Corcoran’s store 25 years ago in Cahersiveen, the Monday after the Puck Fair. Our aim over the years has always been to provide top quality furniture, carpets and service to our valued customers. The customer is always forefront in our mind, and we continually strive to deliver excellence. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both the team at Corcoran’s for their ongoing dedication, and our existing, loyal, and new clientele. We look forward to many more years of continued service across all our five stores.”
CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Colette O’ Connor said: “On behalf of Tralee Chamber Alliance, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone at Corcoran’s on reaching the fantastic milestone of 25 years in business. Their story is a true testament to hard work and determination, growing from their beginnings in South Kerry in 1999 to a company with a far-reaching presence across other parts of Kerry and Limerick. Corcoran’s are a much-valued member of Tralee Chamber Alliance and have been one of the main sponsors of our Christmas in Tralee programme for the past two years. Their commitment to the local community, providing employment, and delivering top-quality service is to be commended and celebrated.”
Corcoran’s will also be celebrating their 25th Anniversary in their Cahersiveen store on Friday 16th August, and there will be additional celebrations throughout the year which will be publicised across Corcoran’s social media channels.
