Kerry Motor Club to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Circuit of Kerry

Kerry Motor Club has announced details of The Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Stages Rally, which will take place on March 30.

This year’s event will hold a special significance, marking the 50th anniversary of the inaugural running of the rally in 1975.

To commemorate this milestone, the 2025 route will feature the return of the Camp Mountain stage, the classic stage that was part of the original 1975 event.

The rally will also feature other iconic West Kerry stages and promises to provide competitors with a demanding and memorable challenge.

The 2025 Circuit of Kerry will serve as a round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship, the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship, and the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship. Additionally, the rally will feature the new-for-2025 Dacia Sandero Cup.

The event will be held over nine stages, with a three-stage loop repeated three times.

The Rose Hotel in Tralee will serve as the rally headquarters.

The initial route survey has been completed over the Christmas period, with positive feedback received from local residents.

An extra special launch event will be held ahead of the rally to commemorate the 50th anniversary. Further details regarding the launch will be announced in due course.

The 2025 Circuit of Kerry will be led by an experienced and dedicated team under the stewardship of Clerk of the Course, Jonathan O’Shea.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Circuit of Kerry Stages Rally. This event holds a special place in Irish rallying history, and we are committed to delivering a challenging and memorable event for competitors and spectators alike. We extend our sincere gratitude to The Rose Hotel for their continued support and sponsorship,” said O’Shea.
