
Kerry County Council Host Tidy Towns Seminar in Tralee
Over 50 people attended the recent annual Tidy Towns Seminar event in Ballygarry Estate Hotel in Tralee. Enthusiastic volunteers, local leaders, and environmental advocates gathered to share ideas, strategies, and inspiration for enhancing towns and villages across the region.
The CE of Kerry County Council, Fearghal Reidy addressed the seminar and there were contributions from Tidy Towns adjudicator Debbie Bailey, Rediscovery Centre representative Eibhlin Fitzpatrick and Tadhg Healy from KWD also gave an overview on County Clean Up 2025.
The seminar, supported by Kerry County Council, focused on sustainable practices, biodiversity, and community engagement, providing valuable insights into maintaining and improving the cleanliness and beauty of local areas.
The Kerry County Council Biodiversity Officer, Eleanor Turner, the Community Water Officer LAWPRO, Bláthnaid O’Loughlin, the Kerry County Council Environmental Awareness Officer, Breda Moriarty, Caroline Toal from Community Climate Action, Máiréad Costello from the Public Participation Network (PPN) and Elaine Doyle from An Taisce – Clean Coasts were all available to answer any queries from the individual Tidy Towns Groups on the night.
