Festive Flair in the Square Set to Light Up Tralee!
Kerry County Council will host “Festive Flair in the Square” on Saturday, 30th November, to mark the beginning of Christmas in Tralee. This community-focused event will offer festive music, family-friendly entertainment, and the official lighting of the town’s Christmas lights.
“Mayor of Tralee, Mikey Sheehy, said “There’s truly no better way to kick off the season than bringing our community together in the heart of Tralee. The Christmas lights, the joy on the children’s faces, and the festive spirit that fills The Square make this event one of my favourites of the year. I look forward to sharing this special day with everyone and officially lighting up Tralee for the festive season.”

The afternoon is packed with entertainment, beginning at 3:00 pm.
• 3:00 pm – Festive Melodies by David Lynch
David Lynch will set the mood with Christmas classics, filling the air with seasonal cheer.
• 3:30 pm – The Oliver Hurley School of Musical Theatre Choir
This talented local choir will serenade the crowd with festive harmonies.
• 4:00 pm – Christmas Singalong with Jack Patrick Healy
Known as “the piano man,” Jack Patrick Healy invites everyone to join in a singalong of favourite Christmas tunes.
• 4:45 pm – Children’s Disco with Brian Hurley
Kids can dance with Brian Hurley and beloved animated character guests for an afternoon of family fun.
• 5:00 pm – Official Christmas Lights Switch-On
The main event will take place at 5:00 pm when the Mayor of Tralee, Councillor Mikey Sheehy accompanied by Santa Claus and special guest of honour Ms. Louise Quill, founder of Tír na nÓg Children’s foundation and current Kerry Person of the year, will officially turn on the Christmas lights, illuminating the town with the magic of the season.
