The Festival is back! That’s the sound going around town this week as record crowds entered into the county town.
Tralee Chamber Alliance leads the overwhelmingly positive response to the 2022 International Rose of Tralee Festival. While there had been anxiety in the lead up due to a different looking festival this year, it seems any potential disappointments were avoided.
Chamber Chief Executive Colette O’Connor “Businesses across the town are reporting a significant increase in numbers visiting their shops since the middle of last week culminating in huge crowds particularly over the weekend. The parades on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon as well as the traditional Birds amusements and Fossett’s circus over at Fels Point have kept young and old entertained with large numbers of young families soaking up the atmosphere. While there have been challenges around parking availability, the overall feedback from Chamber members is hugely positive.”
“We’d like to congratulate the Rose of Tralee team on doing a fantastic job as well as Kerry County Council for managing the streets and An Garda Siochana who’s presence in the town has been visible throughout the festival. It’s this pulling together that sets Tralee apart from other towns with the collaboration between all agencies is clear to see” Nathan McDonnell, President Tralee Chamber.
