PUTTERS up for the return of the 18-hole miniature Aqua Golf which has reopened at Aqua Dome Tralee.
If letting yourself go inside one of Kerry’s favourite family attractions wasn’t enough already, the refurbished outdoor ‘crazy golf’ has opened in time for some summer fun.
After months of redevelopment, the completely overhauled course design will deliver a fresh, modern, and more exciting experience for visitors of all ages.
It features redesigned holes, new carpet greens, improved landscaping, refreshed water features, upgraded pathways and steps, galvanised vibrant red railings and a fully modernized guest experience while preserving the fun and character that decades of visitors have enjoyed.
The Centre Manager at Aqua Dome Tralee, Mags O’Sullivan, said:
“The reopening of our miniature golf course marks a major investment in the Aqua Dome’s future and reinforces its commitment to providing high-quality entertainment for families, friends, tourists, schools, birthday parties, date nights, sports clubs and groups.
“This refurbishment has completely transformed the course, from the playing surfaces to the overall atmosphere, every detail has been carefully redesigned to create a more immersive, enjoyable, and memorable experience for our guests.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back.”
Highlights of the refurbishment include:
- A full overhaul of each hole with redesigned bumps and bunkers
- New eco drains and water pipes to facilitate water drainage
- New edging was laid around each hole using concrete rumble Kilsern kerb surrounds
- Improved and new granite pathways and steps
- New galvanised vibrant red railings and barriers were erected ensuring safety protocols
- Upgraded landscaping and scenic elements
- Refreshed seating area
Mags O’Sullivan thanked everyone involved in the Aqua Golf refurbishment.
“The refurbishment would not have been possible without the financial support from LEADER, while a special thanks goes to everyone who worked on the project including staff in LEADER, Connor Linnane D C Paving, Micheál Brosnan Welding, PST Sports, Mike Lynch Electrical, Kerry Drains, Green Gardens and Aqua Dome staff who helped get this project to fruition,” she said.
“Their contribution has secured the continuation of the Aqua Golf into the future and we are very grateful for all their hard work,” concluded Mags O’Sullivan.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors the refurbishment of the Aqua Golf ensures the attraction remains a premier entertainment venue for years to come.
