Tralee is gearing up for an exciting week of GAA action. MTU and Tralee are set to host the finals of the third-level education institutions GAA competitions. The games are scheduled to take place across a number of venues from 13th to the 17th February this coming week, with the highlight fixtures being the Sigerson Cup football final in Austin Stack Park on Wednesday evening and the Fitzgibbon Cup hurling final in Abbeydorney on Saturday.

See below, details of competing teams and fixtures. The very best of luck to Micheal Quirke, MTU and all involved in supporting this unique festival of GAA in Tralee this week. Excitement is building for what promises to be an extraordinary celebration of GAA.

Yesterday witnessed a remarkable Munster Colleges Football final in Tralee, where Mercy Mounthawk played Tralee CBS at Austin Stack Park. Congratulation to Mercy Mounthawk on winning their first Munster title, while commiserations go out to Tralee CBS who put up a great battle in what was an excellent contest. Sending best wishes to Mercy Mounthawk as they now progress to the All-Ireland semi-final stage.

Finally, we look forward to welcoming Mayo to Tralee, for the 3rd round of the National Football League in Austin Stack Park next Saturday night. A sell-out crowd is anticipated for what promises to be a great contest with Kerry.
