St. Patrick’s Parade Tralee are asking organisations to Get Green!

On Tuesday, 17th March, the St. Patrick’s Parade will explode onto the streets of Tralee, celebrating the many cultures, communities, organisations, and businesses in the local region.

The success of the Parade is down to the contributions made by the local community, without whom it would not be possible. For many years the parade and festivities have been organised by a dedicated team of Volunteers under the stewardship of Johnnie Wall, Danny Leane and others however this year Kerry County Council and Tralee Chamber Alliance have come together to take this successful event forward.

The St Patrick’s Festival committee have themed this years parade with the slogan ‘Let’s Get Green’ and appeal to everyone who will participate in this year’s parade to not alone provide a colourful display for the thousands of spectators who visit the town for the parade but to also consider sustainability, eco-tourism and a green friendly awareness and approach to your participation.

The organisers are calling on all those in businesses, organisations and sports clubs to ask themselves ‘what are our green actions for 2020?’ and to use their imaginations and come up with some creative and informative entries for this year’s parade.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your organisation and demonstrate what you do. There are several different categories of awards, the winners of which will be selected by the judges on the viewing stand.
