WHAT DOES TRALEE OF THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE?

We know that keeping kids entertained during the current Covid-19 outbreak can be tricky. Ensuring their minds stay active and exploring their creativity is important too.

That’s why Tralee Chamber is launching the ‘My Tralee’ Art Competition. We want to put their brilliant imaginations to work over the coming weeks!

What does Tralee of the future look like? What kind of town would the young people of Tralee like to see in the future? What will daily life be like in Tralee in the year 2030?

These are the questions we want you to put to your children. We want them to think about and imagine the kind of town they’d like to live in when they grow up and what ‘My Tralee’ means to them!  What will #MyTralee look like 10 Years from now?

We then want them to get out their paints, crayons, pencils, whatever they need to create some amazing art – and to send us a photo of their drawings and paintings showing what they think Tralee should look like or be like in the future. Parents: Take a picture of their creation along with their name, age, home address and school name – and email it to rebecca@tralee.ie

Please feel free share your Child’s creation on Social Media using the hashtag #MyTralee
Prizes are on offer to the winners and runners up

CATEGORIES:

  • 4-8 year olds
  • 9-12 year olds
  • 13-16 year olds.

Why are we doing this?
Tralee Chamber want the current and future generations to be proud and ambitious for our amazing town. We want the kids to help us showcase our town as the creative, energetic and vibrant place it is, and to show us what Tralee means to them now and what it could be in the future! #MyTralee is about what your town means to you, and Tralee Chamber are working to make Tralee a better place for everyone to live in, work in and visit.
